The Friends of Welford Road Cemetery, Leicester was founded in 1999 to help and encourage people to enjoy Leicester’s beautiful and historic Victorian cemetery.
We are happy to help locate people and plots within the cemetery – please submit as much information as possible on the enquiry form (word document downloadable below).
Leicestershire and Rutland Family History Society has also produced two CDs listing all those buried in the cemetery between 1849 – 2000. We host events throughout the year and are also able to arrange bespoke tours for groups and individuals.
For enquiries about events or the cemetery generally please use the contact form left.
